I signed up for the challenge from Annie of thefeltfairy to make something new every month, what a great incentive, and I have actually finished something to boot!
I took inspiration from an old sixties cow and gate baby book. It was a book Mum had when she had me. I have to say it is written in quite a superior tone and some of the advice seems alien in these times - like feeding babies hard baked crusts with dripping ! Still it is full of wonderful pictures of very bonny babies.
So I picked one of my favourites and made some small lavender cushions...
I kept the colours neutral so they could be a present for someone that has had a boy or girl.
Did pick up this pretty bowl for my daughter last week, thought it would nice filled with some of her beads- she isn't too sure!
A friend gave me this sweet little tin-knows my love of Ladybird
Filled with plasters, I'd love to take them to school but know the children would be falling over just to get one and there probably not health and safety approved!
I also bought these flower cards for just a £1, they are not in perfect condition, but I think they would be good for making tags and other crafty things.
Enjoy what is left of the weekend Linda xx
