We have been busy sorting and getting stock ready for our first fair of the year next Saturday at Flitwick village hall, it is billed as a:-
We have been lovingly washing plates, sundae dishes and other treasure before wrapping and packing ready for the big day...
Admittedly at the moment it all seems a lot of work, as I'm trying to make some handmade goodies as well, interspersed with work, teenagers and helping Mum out. Actually the vintage and handmade bit isn't the problem it's the housework and all the maintenance that needs doing in our treasured but old crumbly house!
Apart from regular trips to a hospital clinic, Mum hasn't been out for ages, so we insisted on taking her out today, she worries that she is too much of a nuisance to take out, that ,she will never be to me. We went over to Brackley Antiques cellar. Mum has always had an interest in antiques and used to help out occasionally in her friends shop years ago when I was a child. I was left to rummage around the shop and my favourite part was the musty cellar full of junk, so it all started at a young age !
We were really surprised at how big the Antiques cellar was. Ann of Vintage at the corner house and Debbie of Home thoughts from vintage wants have a booth there and it is gorgeous! Well worth a visit.
I recently bought this vintage push along dog, he needs a good' bath' and will hopefully be coming along to the fair with us- we've named him Reg!
Enjoy your week Linda xx
Reg is very cute, glad you enjoyed the Antiques Cellar.

Sounds like a good day out shame it's just a bit too far away for me. I keep saying I should do a fair but I hate parting with anything :)

Hi Linda, It's Vicki here, your next door neighbour from the last Northampton fair. I'll be at Flitwick on Saturday too, and I'm wondering if Reg will fit in my car!
ReplyDeleteThe push along dog is a find. I have not seen one like Reg. You have some very nice antiques.
ReplyDeleteThank You for your visit to my blog. love lemon and blueberries. I frost a layer of yellow cake with the curd and then lay blueberries on top, my favorite in summer.
I didn't follow a recipe for the cake, but will record amount of flour, sugar, butter, etc I use on the next baking.
Have a wonderful evening,
Betsy
Happy Valentines Day to My Lovely Bloggy Sweetheart! Love Annie ♥*:•.♥
ReplyDeleteHow funny, as your Partner pushed this doggy out on saturday, I said that I had had a push-a-long dalmation as a child. Now I know you call him Reg, that is funny, it's my dads name. Very apt.x
