It seems ages ago that we had a family holiday to Southport which is about 20 miles from Liverpool, which is one of my favourite cities. Southport is a traditional Victorian seaside town but there are some examples of architecture from other eras.

There are lots of victorian arcades with ornate metalwork, some of the decorative metal was looking the worse for wear, it would be such a shame to lose features like that.

Not too far away from Southport is Crosby Beach home to 'Another Place' by Anthoney Gormley.There are 100 sculptures spread out over two miles of beach.

It's my second time of seeing the sculptures and still think they look eerie disappearing or emerging as the tide comes in or out. More on next blog....
